A trip to support the agricultural cooperative "Tsurukui Nanohanamura"!

This is not a harvesting experience, so you will not be able to pick vegetables and take them home. You will be asked to help the farmers with their work and assist with all aspects of farm work.

While helping out with farm work in the mountainous areas of Kumamoto Prefecture, where aging and labor shortages are serious issues,

This is a trip to support farmers and experience the charm of the region.

Garlic planting work

The Tsurukui district is a small mountain village where the traditional rural scenery remains intact. The Tsurukui district is facing a serious labor shortage due to the aging of the population. Your support will help the farmers.

This time, we will be supporting the planting of garlic, which grows in the pure waters of the Tsurukui area of Sakamoto-cho, Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture.

Date and time: Friday, November 29, 2024, 9:00-12:00

Participation fee: 1,500 yen per person (adult/child)

Meeting place: Tsurukui Life Improvement Center

What to bring

◆Work gloves

◆ Boots or sneakers that you don't mind getting dirty

◆Please come dressed in comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and that you don't mind getting dirty.

◆You may get sweaty during the day, so please bring your own drinks and a towel to wipe away sweat. Please take care of your health.

What is included in the cost?

One lunch, bathing tax, souvenir (2kg of Tsurukushi rice)

*Meet at the venue. Please pay your own transportation costs to the meeting and break-up locations. Parking is free.

Notes

◆This tour will proceed rain or shine.

・The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine, but may be cancelled if a warning is issued or there is heavy rain or thunderstorm. Thank you for your understanding.
・Please take measures to protect yourself from the cold and rain according to the climate.

Regarding cancellation of the event: The decision on whether the event will be held or not will be made at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26th, three days before the event. We will notify you via the official website and email.
・If the event is cancelled, we will contact you later to ask for your bank details and refund your participation fee within the same month.

◆ 1 to 1 day before the date selected at the time of reservation: 50% cancellation fee will be charged

After the tour is over, please enjoy a soak in the hot springs.
